Portals

Digital Photography

2017-present

In this ongoing collection, I explore the significance of old doors in Esfahan, particularly delving into the concept of “Dargaah” in Farsi. These doors become powerful symbols, representing the threshold between public and private spaces. In the context of authoritarian regimes, they embody the struggle for privacy and the resistance against oppression. Through my lens, I capture the aesthetic allure and historical narratives these doors carry, inviting viewers to contemplate the universal themes of privacy and resilience in the face of authority.
